Bleach: Episode 28

Where did the animation budget go? Only a select few scenes are worthy of being called decent frames. At least, the Ishida-Orihime subplot is part of them since Ganjuu’s act is depressingly dire.

There’s a lot of movement and plot threads in this installment. But the highlight of the ep involves Ishida temporarily abandoning his dorky persona and morphing into Uchiha Sasuke. His wicked new toy deserves mighty praises. Great inheritance from gramps. At the moment, he’s relegated into one of the polished characters. We’ll see how long he’ll last before he churns out idiotic (but forgivable) moments.

BTW, who would’ve thought Kenpachi could look rather cool?
