Fantastic Children: Episode 21

Fantastic Children has it all. An uber-evil villain, a damsel-in-distress, a prying detective, emotionally-imbalanced scientists, McGuyer-esque protagonists, and a younger brother with a severe case of sister-complex. Don’t forget the light saber, the excessive quivering, the wrestling robots, and even the Alice-inspired tea room. Seriously, I can barely keep up with this series. >_ <

To have a previously known S.O.B. transpire sympathy from the audience is simply talent. Fleshing out Dumas character provides not only character development but also significant insight. His gentleness to Helga is slightly surprising. Although his intentions are selfish, one can understand the logic behind his severely lonely thoughts. All this time, he has been searching for Tina to provide affection and love which his father has robbed from in his young life. His actions can be creepy on the side but strangely sympathetic (or possibly pitiable).
