Anime Wish List

With the numerous manga published yearly, it is highly improbable for each title to be adapted into anime. Sadly, fans have to sit back and play a waiting game on the studio’s future picks. Here’s a list of some titles I really would like to in animated form. (And if there’s already a TV series or an OAV amongst my picks, I’d be delighted if someone point it out to me.)

» HanaKimi — Shounen-ai implications, a bit of angst, tons of laughs, and a whole lot of romance, what more can I ask for for a gender-bending series? And if Tomokazu Seki plays Sano, I’d die a happy fangirl. ^___^

» Red River — Yep, it’s a-girl-sucked-into-an-unknown-world type of genre. But we could use more of that as long as it’s well-written, right? ^^;;

» Nodame Cantabile — I’m not particularly fond of the character designs but I absolutely enjoy the storyline. It’s simple yet hilarious. And since the title uses mostly classical pieces, fans need not worry about the music to be used. I’m so happy that Del Ray licensed this piece of gem since I like their translation notes. Unfortunately, scans have been halted. *sigh*

» Black Cat — Hah. I’m ready for most of Shounen Jump’s titles. Tee-hee.

» Death Note — Raito can give Ichigo Kurosaki Ichigo helpful tips on how to be a *proper* shinigami. *coughs*

» Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge (a.k.a Perfect Girl Evolution; The Wallflower) — A nice blend of gothic influences and wacky humor. Sunako, the title’s ugly duckling, and her weird eccentricities has wormed her way into one of my all-time fave heroines. The SD-moments will probably be a blast.

» Milk Crown — I’m a big fan of romantic comedies and Milk Crown excels in this genre. Hmmm. I would really like to have Jin and Oto plushies. Oh, and Lady too.

» Hot Gimmick — Every season needs a angst-y romance filled with soap-y twists (Man, think chapter 51. I’m still blown away.) Of course, I’d rather have the mange wrap-up first to ensure a solid ending for the anime.

» Parfait Tic — I *really* like the Parfait Tic but I get confuse with how things are tangled up between the three main characters. It is one of those rare ones where I can’t decide who to root for as the heroine’s main partner. But I guess, that’s one of the things I enjoy about it.

» Mars — Isn’t about time to have this manga animated? At least, I can console myself with the Taiwanese drama version. Oh, well. I just wanted to bring out my Kira <3 Rei banner. ;p

Okay, so these are mostly titles on the top of my head. I’m pretty sure I have forgotten a lot more. If by any chance one of the ten gets chosen in the upcoming seasons, I’d be really much obliged to the studio.
