Bleach: Episode 31

Skip the next paragraph you want to avoid some spoilers on the manga chapters. I’m trying to be vague as I can though. Um, only if I can. ^^;;

Woo-hoo, more spoiler-y goodness from the ED sequence. It’s the captain of the second division fighting a mystery woman who shall remain nameless. As stated above, the scene is taken right off the relatively current manga chapters. And if you watch the OP closely, the said scene is also featured in the OP sequence.

The round two of the Renji-Ichigo match-up ends. The winner: Ichigo. But only after receiving some severe trashing from his opponent. At first, it seems as if his mission was fated to stop at this encounter, for he was overpowered by Renji. All seems bleak. Yet this audience member realizes, this is an adaptation from one of Shounen Jump’s titles. So, we see a dramatic pause. Next, some serious Ichigo-soul-searching. Then, followed by the (in)famous fighting-genre flashbacks. And of course, Ichigo bounces back and strikes Renji in one blow. Have I mentioned how much I enjoy this show?

A bit off-topic. My fangirl meter rises upon seeing Urahara, also known as teh god of hawtness, inflicting serious damage to Ichigo. Whee. Don’t get me wrong. Ichigo’s is a sweetie (and I actually like this protagonist) but the Urahara-screentime will trump almost anything. I’d follow hat-dude even if he turn Darth Vader on us.
