Tournament mode: ON!! *lol* I have always wanted to say that in real life… I could, but I think the little men in white coats may come after me.

Mifune versus Honmoku. Goro debuts in the Little League. In order to surpass Yokohama, he and his teammates must first kick it up a notch to beat their first opponent of the season, Honmoku. This team boasts of identical triplets known for impressive batting skills. How will Goro’s pitches measure up? Are his fast balls enough to beat Honmoku? Or are we going to see some power-up in the next episode? Erm. Is this match the beginning of absurd plays?

Cynicism aside, this tournament begins to spark excitement and adrenaline rush. While I am still on the lookout for those weird moves (think PoT), I am relatively confident with the new direction. True, Goro’s talent itself is unrealistic as it is but it still has not delve into the world of absurdity.

Oh, well. It’s hard to say how this will turn out. As long as it does not stray too far away from character maturity, I’ll forgive any bizarre moves made by any player. This is a sports anime anyway, right?
