One Piece: Episode 149

Three year’s worth of K-F releases, eighteen months of anime blogging, thousands of words written, and countless of hours wasted spent pimping around one of my all-time favorite series. And here I am composing the hundredth entry for One Piece. Who would’ve thought I’d stick around this long? All I can say is that I am utterly smitten with this title that it will take such an extremely horrific storyline for me to turn my back from it. Then again, I survived those atrocious Arabasta arc fillers and I’m still alive and kicking.
Montblanc Cricket, a descendant of the infamously known liar Norland, finds genuine affinity with the Straw Hat crew’s sense of romanticism. Looking at the enthusiastic faces of the young adventurers made him decide to offer assistance and support. He and his monkey friends become the primary source of information towards the sky island.
Hours before the departure time, Luffy and his crew set off to search for a strange bird needed for navigating purposes, while Cricket&co remain to fix Going Merry. But once the Luffy group disappears out of sight, the cruel Bellamy appears.
I’m all revved up for the next couple of episodes. I’ve been waiting for the Bellamy-Luffy face-off for a while now. If you haven’t been spoiled by the manga, rest assured that it is one of Luffy’s coolest moments, period.
