Bleach: Episode 39

We have a new ED theme for Bleach. It’s upbeat, catchy, and uplifting. It’s even filled with some Engrish fun. Let’s just say, it’s not exactly the music one would expect to hear after viewing a very bloody battle. While I have no major qualms about the cheery track, I have to say I’m more partial to the previous one. Or maybe I’d grow to love it too. With my occasional fickleness, it is highly possible.
The episode ends in a bloodbath. Both Ichigo and Kenpachi incur extremely severe injuries and unbelievable amount of blood loss. The Red Cross is currently shaking its head with disbelief over the total wastage of red blood cells. But then again, would they really want these crazy people’s in the blood bank? Ichigo, maybe. But certainly not with Kenpachi’s.
Kenpachi is one seriously disturbed individual. He derives pleasure when inflicted with deep wounds. And the most dangerous part, he is more than capable of giving the same amount of damage and more. Kusajishi must urge her captain to seek guidance from a trained shrink.
BTW, Kenpachi reminds me Toguro (YYH). I wonder why…
