Glass Mask: Episode 13

Fascination over the purple-rose dude and Maya subplot should be moderated. I believe I have exceeded the number of acceptable sighs in a course of thirteen episodes. The mere glimpse of both Masumi and Maya on screen sends this viewer into fangirl-land where my inner schoolgirl floats around cloud nine. So, yes. I’ve got it bad. And to think, we’re still way behind the *really* juicy parts. At that time, this blogger may have melted away due to extreme exhilaration. Yeah, it’s possible.
The disqualification from the national drama competition resulted to a slight setback to our protagonists’ plans. For now, they are content to support each other by any means possible. Tsukikage-sensei’s loyal students opt to find part-time jobs in addition to school and training. It is not an easy feat but with everyone encouraging each other, their hard work becomes bearable.
The flow of each of the episodes has stabilized into an even and consistent pace. It covers the essential highlights of manga arcs and carefully omits the dispensable details. Glass Mask is one of those series which seems to be bland yet eventually becomes an essential part of one’s viewing habit. The unfolding drama keeps the audience’s on their toes. And the endearing heroine cannot help but capture the hearts of everyone.
If you haven’t had the chance to watch Glass Mask, I recommend trying out the raw or some of the released subs by Mugen and SD Project. Give it a few episodes before everything sinks in. Remember, it takes time to build up an excellent storyline.
