Black Cat: Episode 03

Exposition is normally a favorite part for this audience member, yet there are exceptions. The execution for the \’trance\’ explanation comes to mind. Irksome!Chronos-rose-dude suddenly appears in front of angsty!BC only to annoy audiences, spout random information, and lust after angsty!BC. I suppose I should congratulate him for being such a multi-tasker. Hee.

In the previous BC entry, I have mentioned my hots fondness for Sven. Ahh… an Interpol-agent-turned-bounty-hunter. Then add his wicked gadgets to his indescribable *cough* charm, I\’m smitten all over again. Let me pause for a while as I wipe off drool. Unfortunately, Sven meets the loli-goth poster child Eve and unleashes his inner pedo-instincts… He seems to be well-versed in this area. Scary.

I stand by my earlier comments on the direction of the series. While darker does not necessarily equates better, the anime falls nicely to the \’better\’ category. This adaptation gives the apt gravity and weight to Train\’s past. Instead of going through the traditional flashbacks route, the director tries his hand on a more linear approach resulting to a satisfactory offering. So far, at least.

BTW, the ED sequence is plain adorable.
