Ginban Kaleidoscope: Episode 01

ZOMG!! Ginban Kaleidoscope contains Engrish dialogue.

Pompous American skater (paraphrasing): Nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah. You suck.
Feisty Japanese skater: Pffft. Kiss my ass!

For this exchange alone alone, I would watch the next episode. Seriously. And the ‘Kiss my ass’ part is truly included.

Aside from eloquent dialogue, this series is peppered with hilarious bits. I mean, the series in a nutshell is about an Olympic-skater wannabe who suddenly shares a body with a male Canadian spirit. Unoriginal but still amusing to yours truly. My expectations for the fluff piece is realized but the comedic offering has taken me by surprise. I believe Ginban Kaleidoscope will bring me immense pleasure in the succeeding episodes. Making this viewer giggle at around three in the morning is enough reason for few more viewings. Yes, I had to suppress laughter. A light, comedic fare revolving skating should be enough to keep me entertained.

I can’t wait for the a subbed version of episode two, so I must find the raw. ^___^
