Noein: Episode 02

Oh my holy effing gawd!! What the heck is happening in this episode? Mind-blowing action? Check. Whimsy and fantasy? Check. Mysterious intertwined plot points? Check. Confusing space-time continuum? Check. Angst-ridden teen? Check. Villainous psycho dude? Check.

Okay, it seems as if my assumptions and comparisons with Rahxephon and the sealed world is incorrect. My heart is not set for this resolution so no harm done. Also, it always fun to speculate. And Noein seems to provide an array of puzzles to solve. Although I have to say, it is a head scratcher. Darn, Noein is pulling me in more than I’d like to admit.

Kudos to Kazuya Nakai for his role as Karas. His distinctive role playing as the famed swordsman Zoro in One Piece sometimes causes trouble for this viewer. Whenever he voices different characters in different series, I would always find traces of Zoro. However, it is rather different in Noein. He seems to be immersed in this particular character.
