Noein: Episode 03

Intrigue is turning into a dangerous form of like. I am on the verge of obsessive fangirl-ing if Noein continues to maintain such intensity. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve exclaimed “ZOMG!!” during this episode. Opening with eye-popping action and then leaving the audiences in a cliff-hanger certainly stimulates all the sense. Haruka’s mother’s suspicious phone call adds to the ‘people are not what they seem to be’ theme. So does the Karas-Yuu connection. Then, there is the question of whether Haruka’s circle of friends are connected to the Birds. Their interaction with Haruka will be an interesting revelation.

As mentioned by BluWacky, the episode is mostly filled with shiny effects. But darn it. The fighting sequence between psycho-dude and Karas would put most of the battles in shounen titles to shame. I mean (borrowing a line from VM), in the words of Keannu Reaves, “Woah!”.

And to think I was about to ignore this series if not for someone’s suggestion. I really can’t wait for the next episode.
