Snow Queen: Episode 04

Throughout the entire episode, my red-brimmed eyes resembles a very leaky faucet. The tissue box is only an arm’s length away. Sniffles cannot be helped. Yes, you may conclude from this symptoms that I have suffered a terrible allergic reaction. Or I was bawling like a baby. Take your pick.
When key roles are given to excellent voice actors accompanied with lovely music and beautifully rendered animation, a supposed predictable scenario comes alive with a powerful punch and a fresh look. Kay’s disappearance caused major concern from the kind and sympathetic townspeople. They believe Kay has fallen into the frozen lake and presumed dead. A month passes by. Kay’s father decides to give closure for himself and for the townspeople. A funeral is set. Gerda does not accept the resolution but still honors the family’s decision. However, after the funeral an important clue comes to light from an unlikely source. This piece of information matches Gerda’s dream. And this sets the series in motion. Gerda leaves a note to her grandmother and embarks on a journey.
The goosebumps must stop. I’ve heard the opening music for the nth time but when it accompanies the whimsical images, my knees gets wobbly and my insides turns to mush. Yes, I am a sap.
