Black Cat: Episode 07

Remember the Gankutsuou-esque fireworks\’ and the awesome duel in Black Cat\’s pilot? Episode seven\’s Train-Creed lover\’s quarrel is a direct continuation of the duel. The end result: three injured children, an unconscious stray, a psycho-dude deep in a coma, a missing body, and a fiery mess.

The Eve-Sven loli-pedoguardian duo cares for the unconscious Train. Because of the history of an assassin and a target, the situation between loli-bait and angsty!BC when Train awakens can only be described as awkward. In a weird situation involving bells, an Aesop fable, and a Chronos-numbered-assassin-cum-ladies\’-man, Train makes peace with the wary loli-goth. After the entire debacle the two calls a truce and Sven takes on another dependent. I wonder if Sven\’s two charges are tax deductible.

While I hate psycho-rose dude Creed\’s action for slashing mystery sweeper girl Saya, I dislike the fact that he is very much unconscious right now. His delicious evilness and lust for angsty!BC bring me immense joy and comfort. How long shall it take for him to resurrect his lovely persona?

After an intense story movement of the first seven episodes, it seems that the BC writing staff will be taking a breather from the heavy plot. The audiences will probably be seeing a shift to a criminal-of-the-week type of episodes in the next few installments. It\’s just a hunch but the probability seems high.
