Black Cat: Episode 08

Sven is not only the pedo-guardian to loligoth but also serves as Train\’s gay lover as well. Okay, I concede it\’s not entirely an accurate statement but Desburg Cafe\’s esteemed waitress planted a very amusing seed to this blogger\’s brain. That\’s how I interpreted the scene. And if I am mistaken, I guess I just have an absurdly active mind. Think about it. We don\’t know what goes around behind closed doors. Right? With psycho rose dude out of commission, Train might be wanting, ahem, company. Hee. Ahhh… why do I always go for the low brow humor?

Seriously though, I find the lack of transition from angsty!BC to cheery!BC very much disheartening. Why abruptly kill a winning streak of the gradual build-up of character development? Is my emotional investment for this series for naught? I do not wish for deeper themes but I would have liked to retain the character depth Train had in the previous episodes. Is this too much to ask?

Although it seems as if I had been mostly discontent with the episode, I have to admit the enjoyment derived from the humorous antics of the trio plus Rinslet. Let\’s just say I am satisfied with the entertainment aspect but rather disappointed with the intensity. Oh, well. At least, the episode includes scenes where Sven is mistaken to be BC\’s lovah and resident loli-goth is held captive by a, err, viney monster-like being. Heh, I did mention low-brow humor earlier…

Question. What in the holy f*ck is that bulky, erm, accessory on Train\’s new jacket? While I am familiar with this new look from the manga, I remember it being rather smaller and unobtrusive.
