Black Cat licensing… Whee.

Woohoo! Black Cat has been licensed. I’m all giddy. I wonder if it’s too soon to expect volume one next year… Hee. I can’t wait. Hopefully, they’ll release the wide-screen version instead of the full-screen that we’re getting right now. *crosses fingers*

I don’t mind the fact about FUNI being the company to distribute this title in the US. I would have preferred Media Blasters to acquire the license, though. They just have awesome extras. Just take a look at Otogizoushi, Genshiken, and Shura no Toki to name a few. They’re pretty packed. But i digress.

Anyhow, I think FUNI has done a pretty decent job on their other acquisitions recently. (Oh, and I’m not talking about dubs since I don’t listen to them, ever. *shrugs* I just don’t.) Now, if they’ll treat BC like they did with Samurai 7 (Have you seen their Limited Edition volumes? *drool* Sweetness. I’m still waiting for my volume two order.), I’ll wipe out the memory of their recent actions mimicking the evil called ADV. (Yes, I call ADV an evil entity but I still purchase their items. I have no shame.) Oh, well. I really have low morals when it comes to the legality of DVDs and fansubbing or what-not. I’m a leech and there’s nothing I can do about it. ;p
