Noein: Episode 06

Random thought. With all the talk of parallel universe and time-space dimensions, my thoughts tend to travel toward Sliders.

While Karasu is bound in darkness because of his betrayal, Haruka finds herself caged in a strange dimension. Her importance as a Dragon Torque has not been explained but she is given knowledge of the timeline she currently resides.

One of Noein’s assets is the mix of whimsy with fantasy and science fiction. As Haruka wanders through the underground world of Lacrima and as she braves the ladder up to the desolate wasteland, there’s a sense of curiousness and wonder, almost akin to Alice’s intrigue in Wonderland but not quite. It is a long shot that Haruka will wake up from a dream. And I really would NOT want that ending. But of course, the one she meets up the wasteland is not a tyrannical queen but a familiar face. Unfortunately, her fate in the hands of this woman might not be quite the result she’d welcome.

Why does an episode of Noein always leave me in quiet mode? Damn, I never had expected that this series would turn out to be this engrossing. I did not even noticed that half an hour has passed until the ending sequence started to play. I honestly can’t think of anything to say except that I must have the next episode NOW!! I’m trying not to read BluWacky’s summary for episode seven until I get my hands on the file first.
