Major: Episode 30

Did this audience member hear the word manager coming out from that braids gal? Argh, can someone slap her with a baseball glove? Or maybe, throw some balls at her? Did anyone see her drool as she watch Toshi for the first time? (Okay, I did that too but I don’t count because I say so.) There were even hearts in the background. *shudder* Yes, I know I’m overreacting but one can smell the token manager-type oozing out of her a mile away. I hope my worries are for naught. So I’m giving her a chance to grow on me but right now, I can tell you how glad I was when Goro scares the wits out of her. Hee. I knew there was a reason why I lurv Goro.

Goro is playing baseball once again. However, he receives a major setback. His supposed uber-left pitch is not enough to fight with those truly strong opponents. He challenges the captain of another team, who turns out to be Toshi, but ends up being knocked down a couple of pegs. To be truly a southpaw, he must learn how to use his left hand as if it were his right. (Ambidextrous Goro! I can almost imagine some Echizen moments which I don’t think will happen here. ;p)

One of Goro’s best qualities is accepting his limitations. He then moves on by solving the dilemma. Of course, this is after a brief but intense angsting. ;p Seriously though, the switch from right to left hand is not treated lightly. I like the fact that it demonstrates the effort required to develop control over the lesser used hand. Little things one takes for granted such as buttoning shirts, using chopsticks, and writing can be very tricky to learn. However, these things takes time. But in the purpose of this series, I wonder how much time it will take for the our main protagonist to master his left hand. Hee. Your guess is as good as mine’s.

Oh, and yes, I loved the episode.
