Manga lurv


Finally. I received some of my long-awaited package yesterday. It took three weeks for the store to find my item, then two more weeks during the shipment. Grr, argh. At least, I got them safe and sound.

  • Nodame Cantabile Character book. Mostly profiles from main and secondary characters from the said title. I only scanned a few pages but I have not examined it yet. It should be interesting, though.
  • Shinshi Doumei Cross v.1-2 (Arina Tanemura). Okay, I admit my fondness for Tanemura-sensei. I lurv her character designs. Clean and very lovely (and quite recognizable too). The storyline is in its early stages so I can’t really comment too much on it. So far, it is holding my attention rather well. I’m currently waiting for my v.3. I forgot to order it with these two. ^^;;
  • Skip Beat v.7-10 (Yoshiki Nakamura). Nakamura-sensei plain rocks. I lurved her in Tokyo Crazy Paradise and I’m lurving her here in Skip Beat. I don’t know how she does it. She combines humor and drama in such unconventional way. Heck, even the insertion of romance is not done in a traditional fashion. I’m pretty sure I’ll enjoy these volumes. Anyhow, I just learned that v.11 has already been released last October. So, I’m definitely grabbing that one in my next online purchase. Hehe.

    Hmmmm. I still have a couple of more titles that I’m waiting from yesasia; Yakitate v.13-17, Ouran High v.7, and Beauty Pop v.3-4. I hope they’ll arrive next week. *crosses fingers*
