Utada Hikaru-ish

I’m not exactly a big fan of Utada Hikaru but the cover image on her single Passion sort-of struck my fancy. Hence, the portrait.

It took me about three hours using 2B and 4B graphite. I think I used a little charcoal for the hair. Yeah, I have no idea how to tackle the hair. I need to learn how to even draw that part. As much as I hated drawing the hair, it’s the lips which took me forever. At first it looked as she had bucked-teeth. ^^;; I know, I have way too much to learn but it’s kinda nice to see improvements.

I did a little tinkering with the Shun portrait. Tried to work the eyes and the smile. It still looks off. *shrugs* Anyhow, I’m looking for a good detailed picture of him that would allow me to practice. I can’t believe how much drawing has been relieving my stress. Go figure.
