One Piece: Episode 174

Man, I hate fowls. Seriously. And looking at a supersized bird walking by Zoro’s side gives me the creeps. *shudder*
What a Robin-centric episode. Truthfully, it took a long while before I warmed up to the resident archaeologist. Witnessing her passion for the ruins while battling giant acrobatics dude slightly soothed my worries for her potential treachery. She had one scene in this arc which truly sold her character as a Straw Hat crew member. It should appear later in the arc but I’ll point it out if I remember.
In a semi-related note, let me rant a bit on the latest chapters on the manga. Spoilers ahead.
Oh my holy f*cking mother of gawd!!! Too much emotion and sadness in Robin’s flashback. Thank goodness, I had the sense to read it at home and not at work. *sniff, sniff* My trustee Kleenex is definitely needed. Luffy finally succeeds in helping Robin understand the significance of being a Straw Hat crew member. He orders Ussop aka Soge King to set the World Government’s flag on fire, hence declaring war against the whole world. Robin realizes the symbolic action (although breaking into the Enies Lobby should’ve given her the hint. ;p) and admits that she want to live.
Almost four hundred chapters and One Piece still manages to exude freshness. Me huggles Oda-sensei.
BTW, I am wondering on who’s going to have the next bounty. My vote will go to SogeKing for destroying the flag. No doubt that Luffy, Zoro, and Robin will up theirs As for the rest of the crew, your guess is as good as mine.
