Glass Mask: Episode 45

Masumi’s past… *sniff* Masumi’s stepfather, Eisuke, is simply an unspeakable creature who knows no love. The foolish obsession to Kurenai Tennyou only wreaks havoc to a young Masumi. Little acts of kindness is even prohibited to the child. His innocence is taken away, robbing him of his childhood. To further prove the cruelty of his so-called father, the former Daito president displays obliviousness to the kidnapping of Masumi. Although the lad escapes from his pursuers, he returns to his old life knowing immense betrayal.
If the kidnapping solidifies the knowledge of living with an unfeeling father, Eisuke takes the step further in his treachery. A fire spreads around the Hayami household, obliterating everything in its path. Instead of assisting his wife, Eisuke berates her for not saving his precious Kurenai Tennyou shrine. The poor woman drenches herself in water and pushes through the flames. She recovers the sacred kimono but in the expense of her life.
Ugh. No wonder Masumi grew up with a skewed personality. His determination to win the Kurenai Tennyou rights is rooted from his father’s crazed passion towards the play. Ahhh. But a breath of fresh air appears near him. No, it’s not you, Shiori. You don’t even made the draft. Maya’s unworldliness and courage reminds him of the innocence he once lost. To fall in-love with young actress is inevitable.
*sigh*
Now, I’m depressed.
