Glass Mask: Episode 47

Wah. Glass Mask’s finale has already aired; and here I am, the so-called avid fan, stuck in a rut. “Unacceptable!”, you say, whilst I hang my head in shame. Alas, the simple reprimand is insufficient to put things into motion. Parting with a beloved causes immense despair and lack of drive. Hence, the feeble attempts to round up the GM queues. But I shall turn into a new leaf and put forth true determination. My will power shall prevail. Not to mention, with spring just around the corner, I refuse to carry a hefty load from last season. ;p

The second element: Fire.

Ayumi dances to the rhythm of the fire; Maya performs Yaoya Oshichi. Tsukikage-sensei praises both acts but remarks that the latter has an obvious flaw in her portrayal. While Maya nailed the technical aspect of the scene, her mentor mentions that she lacks the lover’s passion required to complete the character. Tsukikage-sensei adds that she’ll be willing to watch a repeat performance once Maya has found her great love.

While Ayumi and Maya contemplate for their Water act, the supporting casts does not remain inactive. Sakurakouji waits for an inspiration, Tsukikage-sensei wonders on the Maya’s meeting with the elder Masumi, Eisuke’s car falls down a cliff, and Hayami searches for his missing father.

The unlikely turn of events brings a sweet twist. Maya and Hayami meet beneath the night sky, conversing in a way that will surely delight romantics. Later, on one rainy evening, the pair is forced to spend a night together. In this instance, Maya finally recognizes her feelings towards Hayami. And she weeps. *sigh*
