Major: Episode 35

An unexpected home run decides the Goro-Toshi showdown, thus endeth game. Ahhh, but it is a beginning of a beautiful friendship. *cough*
After the competition, Goro and Toshiya immerse themselves into a heart-to-heart talk. The tension is electric. I say, why not just lock lips and get over it? Unfortunately (probably fortunately to most), the writer’s thoughts do not coincide with mine. So the duo converse in a manly fashion, complete with a lurv confession from Toshi. Apparently, Goro is the only one that occupies his mind and consequently wants to play in the same team as him. Hee.
Oh, Ayane. Your feelings for Toshi are useless, I tell you. His loving gaze is only reserved for one man alone. Don’t you know that you don’t stand a chance against Goro? Tsk, tsk, tsk. Poor gal. Better luck next time.
Seriously though, audiences are treated to another round of Major-goodness, character development for both Toshi and Goro in the first half and a numbing ordeal on the latter part. Kaido flexes its muscle and kicks Mifune’s butt without a single drop of sweat. Oh, the agony. The disappointment. The angst. What shall our hero do?
Err, it’ll probably go like this. Goro gets stronger but a rival appears and make a mockery of his skill. Then, Goro goes to an intensive training and levels up. The next time he meets the same opponent, the skill is equal, if not better. Will this be the pattern? ;p
