Glass Mask: Episode 48

No stolen kisses? But… That’s what I’ve been waiting for all these months. And for what? Grrr. I want a Maya-Masumi kissage. Nay, I DEMAND it. It is an important in the manga highlight and it is imperative that the anime must follow through. To be dismissed in such fashion… Darn, I feel slighted.

To appease this sorrowful omission, join me in wallowing in its manga glory. Please take note, these are low quality scans.

By no means, I am not a manga purist. Deviations and omissions will be gladly accepted if it essential to the momentum of the story. But the gesture will not ruin the flow, in fact, I presume it shall heighten the mood. Hayami’s stolen kisses on a sleeping Maya shows a spontaneous action born out of love, longing, passion, and despair. It is a moment of joining and a promise. A simple kiss can be all that, and more. Yet it is taken away by the powers that be. *sigh* I am such a sucker for romance.

Despite my overblown ranting on non-kissage, the Maya-Hayami have enough oomph to tickle my romantic heart. Unfortunately, only the first seven minutes are allotted towards the sigh-inducing love affair.

As for the rest of the episode, let’s just say it pales in comparison to the lovers’ interlude.
