Good Witch of the West: Episode 01

One word to sum Nishi no Yoki Majo: Wow.

Where do I begin? Angst element. Check. Potential romance. Check. A touch on fairy tales and fantasy. Check. Conspiracy theory. Check. A duo of hawtness dripping with Old World gallantry. Check. The eyes are working, the heart is thumping, the brain is turning. Nishi no Yoki Majo is a good old-fashioned shoujo mixed with a touch of mystery and class. Count me in.

Even as early as the first episode, one can almost taste superior scripting. Or is this merely a fluke? I hope not. The secrecy surrounding the heroine’s birth seems entangled with the creepifying men in black. Questions are already abound. Woo-hoo. I like speculations.

BTW, who is the bard-like narrator dude?

Random thought. What a glaring resemblance of Good Witch of the West’s resident lady-of-the-manor to the Hachikuro’s Hagu.
