Manga lurv

April, a tiring month for anime watching. Don’t get me wrong. I love the onslaught of the gazillion premiere episodes of new series. But it can be overwhelming. So what does a girl do to get away from all the chaos? Simple. Enter a bookstore of death and go manga shopping.

Angel Sanctuary v.13 (Kaori Yuki). Sometimes I can’t believe that I’m actually rooting for Setsuna’s incest angst. >_ <

Bleach v.12 (Tite Kubo). Gotta lurv the cover art. Iit can be improved a tad bit, though. Aizen with glasses is hawtness. But Aizen without the glasses… Whew. Smelling salts would be needed.

Fullmetal Alchemist v.5-6 (Hiromu Arakawa). Damn, damn, damn. I already have these two. *sigh*

Fullmoon wo Sagashite v.5 (Arina Tanemura). I missed v4. =( When will Shinshi Doumei Cross ever be licensed?

Genshiken v.4 (Kio Shimoku). I heart Ohno.

Happy Hustle High v.5 (Rie Takada). Whee, it’s complete. I really enjoy Rie Takada’s sense of humor.

Kaze Hikaru v.1 (Taeko Watanabe). I have no idea what this is about. I’ll have to check it out later. The cover art looks nice, though.

Kimi wa Petto v.8 (Yayoi Ogawa). Darn, I can’t seem to find v4&7 on display whenever I step into a bookstore. Yes, I can always order it online but it’s just not the same as browsing with books in your hand. *cough*nerd*cough*

Midori no Hibi v.3-5 (Kazurou Inoue). Eh, I like this manga primarily because of Ayase. I stand firm in my belief. Seiji should’ve dumped Midori and chosen Ayase.

Monster v.2 (Naoki Urasawa). How can I not grab this? Urasawa-sensei is simply a genius. But to be honest, I like Monster better than 20th century boys.

Nana v.2 (Ai Yazawa). Angst galore. Hmmm. Nana’s okay but I still think it’s just a slightly better-than-average stylishly designed shoujo soap. *shrugs*

One Piece v.9-10 (Eiichiro Oda). Once again, I’ve picked up v9 by mistake. Haven’t I learned my lesson?

The Devil does exist v.4 (Mitsuba Takanashi). Who would’ve thought I’d like the live action adaptation of this series better than the original manga? Hee.

Tsubasa Chronicle v.8 (CLAMP). I may not like the storyline, but I can still look at the purty pictures. ^___^

W-Juliet v.7-9 (Emura). Long live the cross-dressing couple.

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge v.7 [a.k.a. The Wallflower] (Tomoko Hayakawa). Is it too much to ask any studio to adapt this title into an anime? Pretty please. I’m willing to beg.

I love going to bookstores. It is extremely therapeutic. Trust me.
