Manga lurv
A little birdie whispered softly to my ear, “Borders is holding a manga sale. Take a look. You won’t regret it.”
Tempting, isn’t it? It is enough to send me fidgeting with my wallet. Nevertheless, I dismissed the idea. I had a little splurge a few days ago and I had to control myself.
With a twinkle in his eye, the birdie goes on further. “Honey, use the rewards card. You’ll have a discount.” said little birdie in a singsong voice. “It’s an additional ten percent off.”, he cajoled.
And just like that, my resistance crumbled to dust. Argh.
Aria v.1-2 (Kozue Amano). I haven’t previewed any episode of Aria. Since it is granted a second season, it must be doing something right. Maybe manga will nudge my doubting self to try the series.
Basara v.15 (Yumi Tamura). See. Cross-dressing is not tied down to one specific genre… ;p
Black Cat v.1 (Kentaro Yabuki) I had a hard time selecting this one. I already ordered the bunko 1-12. So it’s seems foolish to purchase the Viz’s release. But…
Crimson Hero v.2 (Mitsuba Takanashi) Akuma de Sourou [a.k.a The devil does exist] is an okay but forgettable read. Crimson Hero, on the other hand, seems to be better with its characterization and story flow.
Fruits Basket v.13 (Natsuki Takaya) It’s sad that I have lost interest in re-reading FuruBa. Collecting the books has become a routine. =(
Hunter X Hunter v.6-7 Yoshihiro Togashi) Two words. Hisoka lurv.
Kare Kano v.17-18 (Masami Tsuda) Whee. A few more to go.
Ray v.1&3 (Akihito Yoshitomi) Of course, Ray the Animation has inspired me to grab the manga. Unfortunately, I can’t find v2 on any of the shelves. Grrrr.
School Rumble v.1 (Jin Kobayashi) I really adore Harima. he is simply adorable. He’s like Genzo from Tenshi na Konamaiki.
Tenshi na Konamaiki [a.k.a Cheeky Angel] v.9-11 (Hiroyuki Nishimori) One of my all-time fave manga. I think the anime is extremely underrated by anime fans, this side of the globe. Where’s the Megu-Genzo lurv?
In case you’re wondering, it seems that the little birdie is the devil himself. He’s currently rotting in hell as I write. Probably happily, I might add. For fooling a weak-willed mortal like me. T___T
