From what I understand, the 'moon' has been associated with females and fertility. Of all things, a red moon symbolizes a woman's menstruation cycle. But I don't think this is where Black Lagoon is going. ^^;; Although in the most simplistic terms, it most likely hint of the bloodshed coming the Nazi's way. It;s interesting to note, that the moon presented is in crescent shape instead of the full one associated with red moon. Or maybe this is simply an artistic prerogative. Nice insights. All I got was Neo-Nazis plain sucks. ^^; Kidding aside, I did miss the 'red-tinged moon' reference. Does this mean bloodshed? On which part though? The Nazi's or the Black Lagoon team. Is this a foreshadowing of dreadful things to come? I'm enjoying the series but reading your entries makes me think twice of the metaphors. keep 'em coming. ^o^ Wow. Nice insights. While the crazy action and explosion tickle my inner violent streak, I'm a admitedly charmed by the solid narrative and glimpse of human nature at its worse. I like the fact that these pirates are not what they seem. And yes, it helps that the humour appears at odd times. =) Black Lagoon is a big surprise this season.
