Good Witch of the West: Episode 05

Let me get this straight.
1. Firiel is either in a very strong case of denial or some kind of slow. Puh-lease. A totally nekked and bishified Roux wraps her in an ardent embrace and kisses her with such passion, and Firiel still has not grasped the basic idea? Naïveté or stupidity? Take your pick.
2. Psycho-girl is nothing but a fanatic with a killing streak. Hmmm. With so many killings in the name of god, the revelation does not come as a surprise. But give me a proper exposition, damnit. Her presence only serves as a banal misdirection. Deux ex machina, anyone?
3. Adale saves the day, but only to negate the Firiel versus Ravenna angst. Pffft. Why send Firiel in an all-out battle with the student government if only to be dismissed as invalid challenge by non-student? (Sorry, run-on sentence. But you get the idea.) Sadly, the emotional payoff is diminished.
4. Oh, and did I mention that Firiel is some kind of slow? Does she need an ACME anvil to drive the point across? Geez.
Three Four critical points against the episode yet overall, I am oddly giddy as an audience member. Is this the result of the re-enactment to one of Evangeline’s stories? What a carefully orchestrated manipulation by Adale, if I say so myself. She takes away the opportunity from Toras’ students to object to her interference while she provides much fanservice to fangirls, uber-charm school students and audiences included.
