Skip Beat!! Chapter 88

Skip Beat!! chapter 88 takes a dark turn. And it rox my uber-fancy sox!

Reino’s taunts prompt Kyouko to unleash her inner demons. Kyouko admits the extent of her hatred towards Shou. Unfortunately, Shou overhears this conversation. He, then, realizes the depth of rage and hurt he had inflicted upon his childhood friend.

It is about time Shou~~taro~~ grasps the heartbreak he caused Kyouko. After unceremoniously discarding her, he turned his back against her steadfast worship. But when she attempts to enter showbiz, he rediscovers his secret affection towards her. Shou’s selfish mind refuses to admit that Kyouko’s world has grown beyond his’. In his own twisted way, he blindly insists on continuing the friendship as though as it was never been broken.

Overhearing Kyouko’s passionate outburst, Shou cannot deny anymore the sorrow and damage he forced on Kyouko. He must atone for the sins he committed. Yet, will he? He attacks Reino with his fist as if to protect Kyoko. But is this a new beginning for him?

Gawd help me as I wait for the answers in the next chapter, coming this June. I wonder if it will be a satisfying continuation.

Nakamura-sensei, I adore thee. Yes, Yoshiki Nakamura currently stands as my top favorite manga-ka in the shoujo genre. She weaves plots and subplots seamlessly and logically, without losing warmth, humour, and real emotion in her stories. Gawd, I love her so.

Skip Beat is being released by VIZ in America. Wait for a while, you’ll eventually get the whole thing. It’s costly tho (like 9,99 bucks/vol). I think vol 3 is already out.

First thing you need to know is that there are two yahoo skip beat groups as mentioned previously.

First is a group for discussion and spoilers only. They do not distribute scanlations and don’t like it when you ask for them.
