Noein: Episode 19

Holy Moses. HE IS BACK!!
Spoiler alert. You know the drill.
Why, oh, why? As much as I like the crazed Atori, I am more partial to the amnesiac version of him. I like the gentler side of this tortured soul.
While the return of the villainous Atori is not entirely unexpected, the timing took me by surprise. Amassing sympathy from Kosagi’s attacks, he takes her kicks without question. But away from the prying and suspicious eyes, he reverts to his old self. Yikes.
Meanwhile, the Magic Circle project continues with their schemes. More accurately, the stocky, greedy S.O.B. gives the venture a green light. In spite of overwhelming risk, he approves the plan. I hate this dude.
Why do I enjoy Atori’s character yet despise the S.O.B. character? Well, it’s the layers. Atori has them, the other dude does not.
Random thoughts. Memories returned, erased, and remembered. The chapter highlights three individuals dealing with their recollections. The series continually asks the question, “Have you truly lived if memories of you have been forgotten?”.
