i role-played Shaider's Ami (umm..i think that was the name) when i was a kid. weird that i actually role-played an adult movie star with my cousins then!

voltes v is my first ever favorite anime too! though i loved voltron as well (the one with the lions, not the one where the robot's made up of an infinite amount of little spaceships).

I was actually too young to completely understand bioman's plots or subplots and all i can remember is that the bad guy with the long silver hair turned out to be red 1's dad. O_O!!

when i read this ---&#62;

Erica: RICHAAAARRRRDDDDD!!!
Richard: ERICAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

&#60;--- i actually had the full flashback of Erica slowly being lifted away and richard diagonally below her with arms outstretched and all *snickers*

you just gotta love these shows.

&#62;&#62;Hey, do you know that the girl from Shaider went to the adult industry?

Omigod. Is that true?

&#62;&#62;Since they’re already bringing back the series on TV, but with a new cast of seiyuus.

Wow, that's news to me. Err, do you mean in Japan or in RP?

&#62;&#62;They’re showing the first season of Dragon Ball on Animax.

I actually enjoyed DB's first run, even the second. It just got boring after the battles went on forever.

&#62;&#62;Kids’ shows back then are just that. Kids’ shows. Now? Pantsu &#38; loli reigned the screen.

Well, I wouldn't say that it really catered to kids back then since they have a developed storyline and angst. But now it has become more fanservice-y. Not that it's necesarrily a bad thing....

&#62;&#62;In the eyes of kids there are no cheesy cartoons =p

So true. It's so much better to watch any show without any hint of cynicism.

&#62;&#62;xD Sentai shows lmao the thing about my post is its old shows but not THAT old dating back to the sentai era…its like the period in between haha

LOL. Sentai = Awesome. Bioman was my introduction to this interesting genre. I guess that's why I was ready to appreciate Power Rangers later in the early 90's. Hee. Oh, and there's nothing more satisfying than using it as a basis for role-playing games. In my mind, I will forever be Yellow 4. ;p

They're showing the first season of Dragon Ball on Animax :D I've only watched it dubbed in Malay *shudders, faint* and it's cool to hear it in original Japanese again, hee. I liked the manga enough but never kept up with the anime. (Luckily, too, since a lot of people complaint that it just dragged on too much?)

Kids' shows back then are just that. Kids' shows. Now? Pantsu &#38; loli reigned the screen. (Okay, not exactly kids' shows, but I'm talking in general, anyway ^^; There weren't much of those back then, were there? Urusei Yatsura doesn't count xD;;) I don't know whether to laugh or scream.

<blockquote cite="Ten">“Let’s Volt in!”

Oh, nostalgia.</blockquote>Haha, nostalgia indeed. Since they're already bringing back the series on TV, but with a new cast of seiyuus.<blockquote cite="Ten">...except for the death of Bioman’s Yellow 4. That ticked me off, since she was my favorite.</blockquote>Yellow 4 was one of my faves too then. Second to Pink 5.

So she died then? 'Cause I never seen that on TV, since I didn't marathoned it.

Oh shit. *plants a shrine* :(<blockquote cite="Ten">Hehe. I used to have that [Voltes V] track as my ringing tone. I still love that theme.</blockquote> Haha, me too. I have the ED theme, by the way. :)

oh snap! Voltes V was sweet! Unfortunately I've only seen like the "movie"/first episode dubbed back in the day. I have to admit, the transformation sequence BGM was really catchy.

Too bad I don't have the VHS tape with it anymore nor can I find like any of the english dub on youtube :(
