I am all karaoke’d out this Christmas. Family and friends, taking turns on the mic, gathered around the den. We had major singing going on during the 25th. And yes, I am serious. Some good. Some not-so-good. I am at the end of the rope with karaoke but I can still muster enthusiasm for Nano-dom’s Karaoke contest.

Woo-hoo. With 17 entries under its belt, it is a pretty good competition. Anyhow, here are some short comments to the entries. Feedback of sorts.

* Shuichiro (Life is Like a Boat). Gotta give the man props. He is SO dreamy. I mean, really really. I wonder if he takes requests…

* Paul Chn (Canvas). Pretty good but there’s some struggle in a few of the fast notes. And I wish he turned up the volume of the vocals a little bit more.

* ProxyM (Yubiwa). When I heard this, I just wanted to sing this too. Pretty voice but I think she had problems with the mic. You can hear the blowouts.

* kristalyamaki (Start Line). A fun song. You can tell he enjoyed recording this one.

* SJ (Fly me to the moon). I was going to vote for this. Alas… Darn, why can’t I vote for this? Well, I know but still…

* Mr. LostMan (Last Regrets). Woah, the dude has a high vocal range.

* Asuka (Houki Boushi). I enjoyed listening to this one.

* Kaika (Hearts). Beautiful and powerful. I WANT HER VOICE!! Too bad, she had a short entry. I want to hear a longer one. More please. And I want to sing the song too.

* Ten (Scarlet). Ugh. This is me. I suck compared to most of the entries. Sniff. Sniff.

* Atashi (LoveLoveLove no Sei na no yo!). What a very cute voice!

* LianYL (Brand New Reason). Nice fun song. I’d listen to more of his recordings. Hm. For some reason, he sounds familiar. I don’t know why.

* tj han (Ichigo Complete). I demand a video to accompany this song. I am picturing TJ with his figs dancing in the background.

* Sana Jisushi (Moon Revenge). I love me some Sailormoon songs. /me sings along.

* CalAggie (Hanabi). He sounds like he is having fun.

* Omo (Grand Blue). I am biased because I love Tenshi na Konamaiki. So I lap any references on it. P.S. Can some company license the anime?

* Naddie (Daichi no la-li-la). NADDIEEEEE!!!!!!!!! I < 3 joo. I really, really love the ‘two voices’.

* Karin (Yasashii Gogo). Oooh, very soothing. /listens again.

Who am I voting for? Not me, silly. That would be kinda sad. (Although I hinted to a few friends…) I am down to three contestants. Who are they?

Thank you, Ten I wuv you too xDDD I’ve yet to listen to all the entires though (I’m only on Yubiwa! haha! But wow it sounds like there are so many amazing voices T_T) because of the slooowww connection due to the Taiwan earthquake.

That said we can only vote for one person eh? This will be another tough choice, not unlike the AnimeSuki karacom ^^;

You are my personal favourite. Really loved how the soft music enhanced and focuses attention onto your lovely vocals. Your voice is very stable and well controlled ! Beautiful ~! How can a voice like this ever be sucky?! You may sound totally different from the original but hey, singing’s about bringing out the feel/emotions of the song and not imitating :D And I’ve always loved enka somewad :D

Just wondering, how are all these people seeing the Hana Yori Dango series? Is it because they all live in Japan or is it the cable (maybe I should get some), and what is thing and where can I get one?????

@Charly: Do you mean to ask where are they watching the series or you mean reading it? If it watching then you can always try youtube and if it reading then there are sites that have it..
