See you around!

When I started writing for ysp:duh!, anime was my primary source of entertainment. I abhorred US prime time television, which were mostly mediocre ‘reality’ TV at that time. For three years, anime was the center of the universe. However, things changed; from work habits and lifestyle, to evolving hobbies and interests.

Over the years, I have found myself more drawn to manga than anime. I developed a healthy respect for dramas from Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. I also ‘discovered’ a sub-community in the anime scene, the karaoke people; they took my breath away. And when I was not paying attention, the US TV landscape transformed from a hellhole of sensationalism to a refuge of decent-to-great scripted shows; I slowly became enthralled. Suddenly, anime was not the only option.

Anime still elicits positive responses from this blogger. But sadly, it is a light response. It is almost an afterthought.

Maintaining a blog takes time and passion; for anime, I honestly have neither (for now). Blogging is almost impossible. I only like to write about what interests me. And right now, I cannot sustain regularity for any series around. I’ve thought about this long (truly) and hard (kinda). I tried out ideas to regain my previous enthusiasm. It did not work. It seems that I have been delaying the inevitable.

As much it grieves me, I bid you farewell.

To readers, I thank you for reading my inane and mostly fangirl-y posts.

To fellow bloggers, thank you for the links and pimpage and all-around niceness.

To my first linkages, especially to the Sea Slugs Team, BluWacky, Matthew, Moy, Maya, Stripey, Garten, and Reika, thank you muchly. You guys are awesome. And yes, the ‘old-ish’ days hold a special place in my fangirl heart.

P.S. If you really, really, really want to see me (ahem), you can drop by at The Park, my personal blog.
